[Unit Project 1] the amulet which helped me

  My artifact is this amulet. It is made of cloth and string. The string is tied in a double knot, and it is meant that the hope comes true. This color is red, made a flower pattern and the string color is white. The name of the shrine is embroidered on the back side of this amulet. This height is about 8 cm and width is about 5 cm. This amulet is made for hoping for academic achievement. So, for example, people buy this amulet when they have the important exam in the year.

 I buy the amulet of Hiraide Raiden shrine every year. I bought this amulet on 2nd year visit of this year. In January and February of this year, I had the university entrance exam. So, I bought this amulet for passing the enter exam, however I didn't believe the effect of the amulet and praying to the god. Because I thought only my skills leads me to pass the exam, I continued studying after buying this amulet. When I took the exam, I didn't get nervous after seeing the amulet. I thought I wasn't sure but I will pass this exam. As a result, I passed the enter exam, but I don't know what led me to pass the enter exam my effort or the effect of this amulet. This passed was close to fail the exam, and then I talked with my father.

I said "Maybe I think thanks to my amulet. If I didn't have this amulet,  I may have failed the enter exam. Thank you for buying me this amulet."

" Yeah, I think thanks to this amulet and your effort too. It was nice to buy this amulet on 2nd year visit."

 Moreover, I must take the EIKEN level 2nd for taking the class which I must take to become the teacher. In this summer, I made a plan to take the exam. However, I couldn't study enough for the exam and I thought the possibility of failing was higher than the chance of success. When I was taking the exam, I felt uncomfortable. Fortunately, almost words which were on the test were words I studied for the test! At this time, I can't also help thinking that this amulet is a very special thing. As I can't go to Hiraide Raiden shrine in next year, I'm worried about happening the terrible things.

 I think there are people who think we don't want to throw away the amulet. Especially, these memorable amulets like my amulet. In the case, some people say "You must throw it away after 1 year from the time you bought it ." Is that right? According to some websites, we don't have to throw away these amulets after 1 year from the time we bought. On the other hand, there are some websites which said that we should dedicate the amulet which finished the role or made your wish come true for thanks. There are websites which say different things. So, you should select what you want to do. I decided to hold my amulet forever.

 Some people wonder whether the amulet has the effect.  There are often times when the effect of the amulet isn't clear. I think what we notice the effect of the amulet is rarely happened. I think the reason we buy the amulet is to calm down when we get nervous in the important situation. Holding the amulet helps keeping our feelings stable. Needless to say, there is also what we notice the effect of the amulet like in my case.
